Walmart is selling a DVD collection for $15, and the company says it will also sell the titles in “special Blu-ray and Blu-Ray plus DVD” formats.
The discs will include titles like “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” and “The Lego Movie.”
The discs are available at Walmart stores starting tomorrow, January 14, and Walmart is also offering the series in the Amazon Video app.
The company says the collection is based on original content, which is comprised of “the first feature-length film from a major studio.”
It will also include movies from Warner Bros. and Paramount Pictures, along with documentaries and music from Apple Music.
The company says that the films in the collection include the following: “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey,” “Captain America: Civil War,” “Divergent,” “The Mummy,” “Transformers: The Last Knight,” “Tron: Legacy,” “Thor: Ragnarok,” “Twilight: Breaking Dawn — Part 2,” “Wolverine: The Complete Series,” “World War Z” and more.
Walmart says the series will be available in all of its major home delivery territories.
The discs will come with a $10 “Buy It Now” credit, which includes a voucher for a free copy of the title.
The series is the first for Amazon, and it comes at a time when the company is trying to expand its DVD service beyond its home delivery territory.
Amazon has announced that it is expanding to all of the United States by year-end.
The Blu-Rays and DVD titles will come in two different formats, with the first in a Blu-rays-only format and the second in a DVD-only one.
Walmart is offering the first, in its regular Blu-DV format, at $7.99.
