The Newdvd Releases that have never been released: A quick rundown on what we’ve heard about them.
The most notable news is the release of “The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug,” which was made available in December, 2016.
It was the first installment in a trilogy that would come to be known as The Hobbit, but the release date was a little later than expected, as it was set to arrive in November 2019.
This release was also the first one to include the Dolby Atmos audio track.
In July 2017, the release was announced for the first time, and the movie had a first-look at Dolby Vision HDR support.
In February 2018, Disney released “The LEGO Movie Videogame,” which had a release date of October 20, 2018.
The release was delayed to September, 2019, with a release window of November 2019 through March, 2020.
It wasn’t until March, 2021 that “The Lego Movie VideOGame” finally came out, but it was delayed again to December 20, 2021.
In April 2018, the movie was announced as being coming out on December 23, 2021, but Disney finally pulled the plug on the movie on June 11, 2021 in favor of a “The Lord of the Rings: The Battle of the Five Armies” sequel.
Finally, in March, 2019 “Star Wars: Episode VII The Force Awakens” was announced, and a full year later in April, 2019 the release will arrive on December 20.
