The Walking Dead season six will kick off with a bang, with AMC’s The Walking Night, and the long-running “The Twilight” series on AMC.
And I think that we’re going to do some really fun stuff with it. “
It’s going to continue.
And I think that we’re going to do some really fun stuff with it.
I think we’ve got a great team of writers, including John Logan, who I’m very excited to work with on this series.”
The Walking night’s season six premiere will be on March 19.
“The Walking” has seen some changes from the original “The Night” in the wake of Rick Grimes’ death and its conclusion, but fans will likely be happy to hear that the series has kept its name and some of the characters.
“We have a couple characters that were changed to make them more modern,” Gimple said.
“But it was really important to me to maintain the tone of the original.
And, at the same time, make the characters feel like they’re still part of the world.”
While The Walking night will be set in New York, the series is set to explore other popular New York scenes from the ’80s.
“You can definitely go back and revisit some of those scenes,” Gimples said.
Movies “The Simpsons” and “The Dark Knight” also have a place in the “Walking Night” universe, with both of those series being set in Chicago.
“I don’t know if you know that, but ‘The Simpsons’ has a place called the ‘Walking Place,'” Gimple noted.
“So, in some ways, we’re trying to give a nod to those other great shows.”
Movies also have an important place in “The Midnight Special,” with the actor-producer making the case that the show should be re-mastered and re-purposed for the modern age.
“If you take a look at all of the movies that we’ve made, there’s not a whole lot of them that were made by women, and there’s only a couple of films that were done by women that we actually want to see in this format,” he said.
And “The Office,” “The Wire” and the “Treme” all have an audience.
“Some of them have had an impact, and we want to make sure we’re continuing that legacy,” Gimble said.
The “The Wounded” series premieres April 19.
