Why ‘Dos’ Isn’t a Bad Name for a Sex Video, Says Netflix CEO

HENHENHON, South Korea — Netflix is in talks with a Japanese company to produce a sex video that features the titular character from the popular Japanese anime, “Dos.”
The company is in the process of creating the video for its upcoming anime series, “Lovesexy,” a Japanese language language-themed series that premiered in Japan in October and will premiere in the U.S. in 2018.
The series is produced by the Tokyo studio “Kudansha” and Netflix’s own production company, “Fate/stay night,” which was acquired by the company last year.
Netflix’s CEO Reed Hastings told reporters in Japan on Thursday that the company is negotiating with the studio, but declined to say when the deal might be completed.
Hastings said the sex video is not going to be “the most expensive sex video on Netflix.”
The “Doses” video, which is a teaser for the new series, will be a full-length sex video with the same sex content as “Dose” but with a female protagonist, Hastings said.
He said the content is “not for everyone” but is “an experience that everyone will be able to enjoy.”
Hastings said Netflix is developing a feature called “Fantasyland” that will feature new content for “Domes,” and he said Netflix’s partners are working on that feature.
“Fantasylands” will be made available to Netflix subscribers, but the first episode of the series will be released exclusively for the streaming service, Hastings told a news conference.
Hastards said the new sex video would be released in 2019, but it would not be the first time Netflix had produced a sex tape.
In 2015, the company released a sex film titled “Hikari,” which showed two Japanese-American girls having sex.
Netflix was not immediately available for comment.
Netflix, which began streaming anime in the United States in 2005, is the largest streaming service in the world and was founded in 1996.
The streaming service has expanded its library of anime and other content to include live-action shows and films.
Netflix said in March that it would add more than 300,000 hours of live-interview programming to its lineup by 2020.
Netflix said in January that it had reached a deal to produce an original anime series with the Japanese studio “Dodo.”
The project, “Lovely Bones,” is based on the Japanese title of a manga published in 1999 and the same title that the anime series has been adapted from.
